Those who know me well, know that being the poptastic girl I am a gig that does not consist of a AAA at Wembley arena or Earls Court is not something I would normally go too. However I will shock you now by saying over the last couple of weeks I have been to several small gigs from Stockwell to Tottenham Court Road, seeing some new bands and developing artists I am working on. In Stockwell I saw a band called The Severes who are a rock and roll band with a great track called Shut Up which I found myself singing after the gig - check them out on myspace www.myspace.com/theseveresmusic they seem to have a bit of a following and a lead singer who is a natural performer. I am now learning that all bands have to start somewhere and its all about performing in front of people whether that be 2 or 20,000, everyone starts somewhere and if you can get 1 person talking about you this will lead on to 2 more people and 2 more you get the idea - I think this is called the pryamid effort which is one of the most powerful makerting tools we have!
